Mother Flower, Baby Seed

Standard

Mother Flower stands tall in the lush green grass..
Her beautiful bloom, open and full…
She stretches up high so the sun rays will touch her lovely petals…
Her roots dig deep into Mother Earth, seeking out her rich nutrients…

Baby Seed, tiny and small, is laying beside Mother Flower…
Mother Flower tries to teach Baby Seed to bloom….
How to stretch…
How to dig deep…
But Baby Seed doesn’t…
Baby Seed doesn’t listen to Mother Flower…
She won’t bloom…
She won’t stretch…
She won’t dig deep…

A fuzzy bumble bee comes flying over the grass and lands on Baby Seed…
Baby Seed becomes more awake…
Bumble Bee teaches Baby Seed to bloom…
Bumble Bee shows Baby Seed how to stretch…
Bumble Bee teaches Baby Seed how to dig deep…

Mother Flower looks on in heartbreak…
This was her baby…
Was she doing something wrong?…
What was wrong with her?…
Why will Baby Seed listen to Bumble Bee but not her?…
Maybe Baby Seed doesn’t need her…
Maybe she should just go away…

Mother Flower no longer stands tall, she droops because of doubt…
Mother Flower’s bloom is no longer open, it hangs down in sorrow…
Mother Flower no longer stretches for the sun, she draws toward the shade in heartbreak…
Mother Flower no longer digs deep, her roots shrivel in anguish…

Bumble Bee flies to Mother Flower…
Bumble Bee shows Mother Flower that there is nothing wrong with her…
Baby Seed loves Mother Flower…
But Mother Flower cannot teach Baby Seed on her own…
She needs the help of Bumble Bee…

Mother Flower is anxious to bloom with Baby Seed…
She stretches to the sun with Baby Seed…
She digs deep with Baby Seed…
But most important, she stands tall with Baby Seed…
With the help of Bumble Bee…

  1. To think the mind can work in such fine detail is a wonder to behold. The pride I have for my family is wondrous to me. The strength of spirit, thought and feeling they are able to show and express is amazing. This is well done Krystal. Mema is so very proud of you!
